Daily Update; Day 1 Friday 6th January 2012
I've done quite a bit of research now about the Attack Phase and although on the surface Dukan seems similar to Atkins, it couldn't be any more different when it comes to fat! I'm not sure I feel comfortable completely cutting out fat along with carbs, but I will definitely be curbing my fat intake and all of my food will now be low fat.
There are a couple of things that I am not sure I agree with about the diet (fizzy drinks are allowed and sweetners are encouraged) but as I am a sugar addict, I think I will be grateful for that a few months down the line :)
According to the Dukan website, these are my stats...
Start Weight 202 lbs (WOW!)
5 days on Attack Phase (-5lbs)
239 days of Cruise (- 5 stone)
342 days of Consolidation
My 'true weight' is 9st 2lb. I have been much lighter than that, but it takes an average and as I've been so overweight for so long, it decided on 9st 2lb. I would be delighted to get back to that weight.
So I'm all stocked up on meet and I will eating nothing but the allowed foods for the next 5 days.
I haven't felt this determined in a very long time. Weight loss is usually such a challenge for me that I find it hard to get my mindset right, but this time, my mindset is right even before I start.
